Would you love to train in Electrolysis?
Electrolysis has been my passion for over thirty years. Being able to help people regain their confidence, manage their hair and skin issues, and improve their well-being is priceless. You can join our industry at any age, regardless of your previous work history or any career breaks.
The business has historically been female-prevalent, but we're seeing more male practitioners, and male clients are increasing as they realise electrolysis is a completely unisex treatment. Some transgender clients have retrained as practitioners to help and support others on their journey.
I founded the Electrolysis Legacy Group in 2023, to provide the facts about hair removal and to support students and professionals. There is a wealth of information to help you decide if a career in Electrolysis is for you.
Since its invention in 1875, electrolysis has remained the only truly permanent method of hair removal. However, when laser hair removal emerged in the late 1980s, its advertising dismissed electrolysis as outdated. The widespread belief that laser technology was a replacement method caused training courses—and practitioner numbers—to decline significantly. Today, as clients realise that laser treatments have limitations, electrolysis is making a powerful comeback. The challenge now? Demand is rapidly outstripping supply. We have a critical shortage of skilled practitioners, creating an urgent need for dedicated professionals willing to train to the highest standards and deliver the permanent results clients are actively seeking.
